Komagata Maru Heritage Foundation in Remembrance of 94th anniversary of the departure of the Komagata Maru from Vancouver on July 23rd 1914.
Invite all Canadians to join us for our Annual Walk for Komagata Maru Sunday July 20, 2008
Time: 5:00 PM to 7:30PM@ Stanley Park-Lumberman’s Arch
We will get together at LUMBERMAN’S ARCH at 5PM and start the walk at 5:30 PM participants who want to take the full walk it will be about 5 Kilometers.
We will be able to finish the walk and get together again at Lumberman’s arch by 6:45 pm.
The Speakers from 6:45 to 7:30 WIll share brief history of the Komaqata Maru incident.
Special Ceremony will be performed at Portal Park (1099 W Hastings @ Thurlow St.)
